A unit of DR.K.PADMANABAN (Eminent Physician in General Medicine)       1984- 1987 : DNB in Apollo Hospitals, Chennai under DR.M.K.MANI, Chief Nephrologist, Apollo Hospitals, Chennai Experience 1976 – 1980 : Working as Senior House Surgeon and senior resident in Govt. Stanley Medical College & Hospital, Chennai under: DR.P.KRISHNAN KUTTI (Late Eminent Cardiologist) DR.C.U. VELMURUGENDIRAN (Eminent Neurologist)       1982 -1984 : Tamilnadu Medical Service also simultaneously working in Coimbatore Kidney Centre under: DR.K.S.RAMALINGAM (Consultant Nephrologist)       1984- 1987 : Got trained & worked in Apollo Hospitals under his mentor and Guru, DR.M.K.MANI, Chief Nephrologist of Apollo Hospitals, Chennai and DR.K.S.RAMALINGAM (Eminent Nephrologist).       1987 – 1996  : Nephrologist Incharge of Nephrology Unit under the Dept. of Urology headed by DR.RATHINA JANARTHANAN and was the founder Nephrologist for Pondicherry. He was instrumental for starting Nephrology from the scratch and responsible for the growth of the department to the level of what it is today where all nephrology activity including Kidney Transplantation being done. Also responsible for starting Dialysis Units not only in puducherry and also in other neighbouring places like Cuddalore, Neyveli etc.       From 1996 : Honorary Visiting Consultant and HOD of Nephrology in Indira Gandhi Govt. General Hospital & Post Graduate Institute, Puducherry.       From 1987 : Principal Nephrologist of East Coast Hospitals, Puducherry. He is also the Faculty member for DNB Nephrology.             Areas of Interest : Dialysis & Renal Transplantation. Publication of papers both in National & International Journals on Haemodialysis using double blood pump , use of single lumen subclavian catheter as vascular access for Haemodialysis and infections in the early post transplant period. Established many facilities in multiple disciplines including Haemodialysis unit of International Standard, CAPD Program, Imaging Modality including MRI Scan, Extra corporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL), Full fledged Operation theatre, etc. at East Coast Hospitals, Puducherry.
